What does sugar do to your body?

Historically our “sweet tooth” extends way back to our ancestors, when the discovery of sugar, or ripened fruit as it was back then, was eaten when whenever available to allow us to fatten up for the winter when was scarce.

But at last, even conventional wisdom now promotes the fact that excess sugar consumption is making us fat, not actually eating good fats.

When we eat sugar it –

increases our bodies insulin production and fat storage,

increases our craving for food,

increases inflammation in our body and

causes damage to cells and organs throughout our body.

Research has also confirmed now that sugar has addictive properties, similar to drugs.
