Quick Tip #25 – Why You Should Never Mix Oil & Brakes



Hey there Roddo from Sports Adventure again today with another quick tip.

And just the word of warning – be really careful with any cleaning products sprays oils grease or lubes make sure you keep right away from your disc brakes or your rims for bikes that have calliper brakes.

Obviously these are the braking surfaces for you brakes and sometimes you are working on another part of your bike and a bit of overspray or something might spill onto your brake discs or onto your rims, and this is going to play havoc when you are trying to brake down the line. It can be very very difficult to clean off and could cause an accident.

So just be mindful of it when you are working on your bike.
