The new year has kicked off again,
The kids are back at school and homework has starting to creep in,
You are back in full swing at work and the deadlines are already piling up.
January has flown..it feels like Christmas was months ago, but you remember it like it was yesterday.
You’ve really enjoyed this one…time with family and friends few parties and heaps and heaps of good food not wanting to waste that last few morsels
But now it is a new year and you have made the decision to make a change…a real change…a lasting change to get yourself into shape and good health. There a dozens of eating plans out there there seems to be a new one every week but you have decided to go with Paleo.
And you know what that mean’s –
no processed food, no refined sugar, no grains and no dairy.
But what’s left for brekky? You look in the kitchen pantry… breads, cereals, muffins, crumpets, shakes…all of those are off the new menu. So what am I going to eat? Sounds like another starvation diet.
So what do you choose for a Paleo brecky?
I’ve been doing this for years and I mix it up a little here and there, but the way that I kickstart my day is either with an omelette – eggs, bacon, capsicum tomato and onion or an easy cookup of bacon eggs and onion.
At first you might be wondering “How could I eat all this for brekky everyday and still keep a healthy weight?”
Well it’s worked for me and for a lot of other people as well.
It’s a great way to start your day with a lot of good protein to help keep yourself full to start the day
And you might be wondering “how am I going to find the time to cook breakfast…I don’t have enough time to eat most mornings”…ok it does take a bit of planning, but this is how I do it –
After my morning ride or before my morning workout, I start in the kitchen heat up the pan, cut up my ingredients and make the kids lunch. By this time the pan is hot and I through in my ingredients and in a few minutes it’s all cooked and done and ready to serve.
There you go…a great way to kickstart your day.
Go on, give it a try. Let me know how it goes.
Keep in touch and see you out on the trails.
