Do You Look After Your Car Better Than You Look After Yourself?

Something I have never really understood…

We wash,

we polish,

we dust,

we vacuum and

we service our cars at the exact date or kilometres that the mechanic’s sticker on the windscreen tells us.

We check the oil and lubricants.

We double check the fuel at the bowser…because we’ve all heard the horror stories of people using the wrong fuel only to break down on the side of the road often at the worst time possible.

We do all of these things for our cars day after day, year after yearly, but we don’t often look after our bodies in the same way.

Sure we might polish and wash and shine ourselves on the outside, but what about our fuel?

We are all time poor and often use the quickest food on offer (usually just to fill us up) rather than to make sure that we are using the most nutritional food available.

Whenever I can, I like to find the best possible food for my body. Even when traveling or away from home I will always look for where I can make the best meal possible to insure my body remain as healthy as possible.

Breakfast in particular I like to make sure that I stick with a Paleo breakfast – my morning cook-up or omelette. At home I make this with eggs, bacon, onion, capsicum and anything other vegetables that I can find in the fridge.

But while traveling, where all these things aren’t available, or if I am really short on time an easy option is just a easy bacon and egg cook-up. It doesn’t take too long to prepare and sets me up with a good hearty meal to start the day.

Go on…why not give it a try tomorrow.

Keep in touch and see you out on the trails.
